Ever had to tackle a notion with no idea where to begin? That was me when Greg Donnelly’s new song for Long Time Citizen saw me trying to arrange horns! I mean… what did I know about arranging horns?
As soon as I heard the chorus, I could hear a full brass section in my head, but there was one small problem: I’d never arranged horns before.
I could have just not mentioned it and moved on, but instead, I decided to dive in and treat it as a new challenge. It was a life lesson in facing something completely new and seemingly scary.
